Hopewell United Methodist Church in Tyrone will package 10,000-plus meals on Saturday, Nov. 7, to help “Stop Hunger Now” eradicate hunger around the world. This is the fourth year the church has hosted this huge event.
To donate funds to buy supplies, make checks payable to Hopewell UMC and mail it to the church or the office can accept a cash donation. They also need volunteers to package the meals. A typical meal consists of rice, dehydrated vegetables, and nutritional supplements. Once the bags are full, they are shipped to Atlanta for distribution overseas.
