Wendell Lewis Shaw, 60, of Fayetteville passed away on October 20, 2015. He was born on August 26, 1955 to Eugene Lewis Shaw and Faye Shaw in Atlanta, Georgia. Wendell was an avid motorcycle rider, fisherman and guitar player. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and loved his grandchildren deeply. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Wendell was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Linda Shaw; his daughters; Engram Mayo (Steven) of Fayetteville, Elizabeth Mosley (John) of Fayetteville, and Cassie Morrison (Scott) of Sharpsburg; his beloved grandchildren; Tyler Winter, Colt Mosley, Beau Mosley, Paul Lewis Mayo, Brayden Mayo, Kiley Morrison, Bryce Morrison; his sisters, Sheila Stewart of College Park and Vera Prayther of McDonough; his brothers, Robert Williams of Stockbridge and Greg Williams of Fayetteville; and his canine companion, Lewis.
His funeral service will be Thursday, October 22, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville Chapel, with Pastor Winston Skinner officiating. Interment will be at Westminster Memorial Gardens, Peachtree City, Georgia. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
