Childbirth Preparation is an all-day class offering information on recognizing signs and stages of labor; planned/unplanned cesarean births; induction and augmentation of labor; and pain management options such as relaxation, breathing techniques, epidurals, and analgesics.
The role of the support person will also be discussed. A tour of the maternity center is included.
The next class, which will be led by Ryan Heeb, RN, CCCE, will take place Saturday, Oct. 17, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. in Piedmont Fayette Hospital’s Dietary Conference Center. The fee for the class is $100. Bring a pillow for comfort.
