A candlelight vigil in observance of Domestic Violence Awareness Month is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 8, at 6 p.m. at the Old Courthouse Square in Fayetteville.

The gathering, sponsored by The Griffin Judicial Circuit Domestic Violence Task Force, will include an on-site survivor story, lighting candles in memory of those lost and to celebrate those who have survived. The service is free and open to the public.
