Two burglaries and three entering auto incidents have occurred in Fayette County during the past week.

A burglary on Padgett Road was reported on Sept. 19. Deputies were dispatched to the location and were told by the owner that his shop had been burglarized sometime between Sept. 17-19, according to Sheriff Barry Babb.

Deputies noted that forced entry had been made. The owner told deputies that multiple tools had been taken, reports said.

Another burglary occurred in Fayetteville off South Jeff Davis Drive on Sept. 18. Fayetteville Police Department spokesman Mike Whitlow said Pelham Court homeowners returning at approximately 4 p.m. reported a forced entry through a back door off a bedroom. The homeowners reported jewelry stolen, Whitlow said.

Whitlow said the burglary was thought to have occurred between 2-4 p.m.

Also over the weekend there were three entering auto incidents in the Heritage Lakes subdivision off White Road in Fayetteville.

Whitlow said all three vehicle were unlocked, though nothing appeared to have been stolen. The entry was noted by the owners who discovered that their vehicles had been rummaged through, Whitlow said.
