This year’s “Golf Fore Kids” Classic raised over $46,000 to support the abandoned, abused, and neglected children who now live at The Children’s Village at Christian City.

“We are overjoyed with the record-setting amount raised this year,” said Christian City President/CEO Bob Crutchfield. “We’re grateful to Dale Cardwell and all of our sponsors and golfers. Because of the generous support we receive from events like this, our children are able to receive the loving care they deserve. We hope everyone had a great time while supporting this important ministry.”

First place went to RJH, Inc., whose foursome included Roy Hill, Sammy Craig, Dave Maddox, and Greg Thornton. The winners of the Church Challenge were from Elberton Christian Church – Jay Akin, Rusty Burdette, Steve Banks and Kevin Dye. This annual fall event features a great day of golf, networking, fellowship and more. Breakfast was sponsored by Senior Helpers in Peachtree City, and a boxed lunch was provided by Shane’s Rib Shack in Peachtree City.

The Children’s Village at Christian City is a 501(c)3 nonprofit located in Union City near Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Since 1965, Christian City has offered life services and a safe haven for children in crisis, aged 5-17. The majority who come to the program are victims of abuse, neglect, or abandonment. Christian City offers them a welcoming home environment, loving house parents, and a chance to heal and grow.
