Vera Ringer, a former educator who volunteers in Fayette County, has been named the most recent New Neighbor of the Month by the New Neighbors League Club, an active community organization that seeks to involve new neighbors in community activities and leadership roles.
Ringer, who has lived all over the world, moved to Peachtree City with her husband and three children two years ago. In addition to English, the multilingual mom can speak French, German, Dutch and Chinese.
An active member of the New Neighbors League Club since August 2013, she has twice served as tour chairperson as well as Ways and Means chairperson and 2nd Vice President. She volunteers in the media centers at Booth Middle School and McIntosh High School, and along with one of her daughters, she also serves at the Midwest Food Bank.
