The Peachtree City Optimist Club will hold its 24th Annual “Friend of Youth” Golf Tournament Monday, Sept. 14, at Whitewater Creek Country Club.

A Fort Lauderdale, Four-Man Team start is set for 1 p.m. Registration/check in begins at 11 a.m. with lunch at noon.

Registration is $75 per person or $300 per team; individuals will be grouped with a team.  A registration donation includes golf cart, green fees, range balls and lunch by Partner’s Pizza Tyrone/Fayetteville.

This annual golf tournament is the club’s biggest fundraiser and will enable it to continue serving the youth of the community through projects such as college scholarships, holiday food drive, youth appreciation banquet, annual Easter egg hunt and sponsorship of the Starr’s Mill High School Octagon Club.  Today more than ever, we need your help to continue these projects that benefit the “Youth” in our community.

This year’s tournament is in memory of Vince Rossetti, a charter member of the Peachtree City Optimist Club that was chartered in 1974.

A hole sponsorship is $150. That includes your company sign on the course, recognition in the golf program and you can include information, samples or coupons in the golfer bags.

To sign up to play, become a hole sponsor or donate a door prize, contact golf chairman Devon Nickeo (404-427-5030/devon.nickeo@faa.gov) or Nancy Britton (770-301-7588/nbritton216@bellsouth.net). Golfer registration deadline is Sept. 2.
