0Flat Creek Baptist and Newnan First Baptist will host Freedom Celebration 2015 Sunday and Monday, June 28 and 29, at 7 p.m. each night. Sunday’s service will be at Flat Creek and Monday’s at Newnan First.
Guest speaker will be retired Lt. Col. Steve Russell, commanding officer in the capture of Saddam Hussein and now U.S. Congressmen for Oklahoma. The event will feature a performance of the combined choirs and orchestras of both churches, an appearance by the color guard and a salute to the armed forces. Admission is free.
