Doris Lynch Carden, 88, of Woolsey passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2015.
Doris lived to take care of her family. She took great pride in being a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She and her husband James “Bub” Carden were married in Woolsey and enjoyed 63 years of marriage together, setting a Godly and loving example for their family. She was a proud member of Woolsey Baptist Church, and enjoyed taking trips with the LAMBS, her Sunday school class.
She was preceded by her mother and father Clara and Joe Lynch, her husband Bub Carden, her sister-in-law Carolyn Lynch, her daughter-in-law Elaine Carden and her son-in-law Mike Lathem.
She is survived by her sons Frank (Fay) Carden of Woolsey, Ray Carden of Woolsey, and Douglas Carden of Fayetteville; daughter Judy Lathem of Woolsey; brothers James (Rebecca) Lynch of Woolsey and Edward Lynch of Fayetteville; sisters Betty Jo (Leon) Morris and Shirley (Cecil) Dunn of Fayetteville; and 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Doris’ life was celebrated Saturday, June 13, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville Chapel, with Rev. Chuck Chambers and Rev. Edward Lynch officiating. Burial immediately followed the service at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville, Ga. Her family received friends Friday, June 12, 2015, from 5-8 p.m. at Mowell Funeral Home in Fayetteville.
