Arthur “Art” Naylor Rogers, Sr., 86, of Fayetteville died June 12, 2015.
He served our country proudly during the Korean War. He was a loving father and grandfather. He worked at Delta Air Lines for 40 years in Equipment Control and Aircraft Maintenance before retiring. He was a member and deacon of Fayetteville First Baptist Church and a charter member of Harp’s Crossing Baptist Church.
Mr. Rogers was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Frances M. Rogers of Fayetteville.
He is survived by his daughter Patricia and Joe Almand of Covington; son Art and Cheryl Rogers, Jr. of Roswell; daughter Julie and Andy Cash of Brooks; son Cliff Rogers, Wendy Mattison of Atlanta; eleven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 13, 2015 in the Overton Chapel of Fayetteville First Baptist Church. Rev. Glenn Stringham officiated. Interment followed at Westminster Memorial Gardens, Peachtree City, Ga. The family will receive friends before the service.
