David Roswell Thaxton, 72, of Fayetteville, passed away on May 26, 2015. David was born in Griffin, Ga. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Air Force. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Evelyn Thaxton.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Joyce Thaxton; his children, Mary Elizabeth (Warren) Reynolds, David Thaxton, Jr. and Emily Thaxton; his grandchildren Alexandra Reynolds, Blake Thaxton, Dori Thaxton and Sophie Thaxton; his sister, Julia and Jerry Nesbitt; and his nieces and nephews.
The memorial service was held at 11 a.m. on May 30, 2015, at Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville Chapel, with Pastor Jim Battles officiating. Interment followed at Westminster Memorial Gardens in Peachtree City, Ga. The family received friends on Friday, May 29, 2015 at the funeral home.
