Quilting camp for kids June 22-26

The Newnan-Coweta Historical Society is hosting “Quilting for Kids,” a summer camp for boys and girls 8-13 years of age.

It is scheduled for June 22-26 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day. Cost is $75, which includes materials for projects.

Camp will be at the society’s McRitchie-Hollis Museum, 74 Jackson St. in Newnan. Class size is limited to six students.

Projects to be completed include a drawstring bag/backpack, a pillow case, and a small rail fence quilt project. Supplies to bring to class include a sewing machine in good working order with its operating manual as well as scissors, a note book, pencils and straight pins.
