Grow Day Camp is coming to Sharpsburg. Cokes Chapel United Methodist Church has been selected as a 2015 host site for Grow Day Camp. Beginning Monday, June 8 thru Friday, June 12, rising first thru sixth graders will have an opportunity to enjoy a time of spiritual growth and social interaction while enjoying games, arts and crafts, archery, and more.
Grow Day Camp begins at 8:30 a.m. and concludes at 4:30 p.m. Campers will need to bring lunch and a snack. The cost per camper is $125 for the week.
Camp Glisson and Retreat Center launched Grow Camp in 2003 as a traveling day camp for congregations throughout the North Georgia Conference (NGC) of the United Methodist Church. Grow Day Camp became so successful the NGC decided to launch the camp as a standalone ministry in 2013; since that time, 32 churches have been selected to host Grow Day Camp.
“The mission of the camp is for each camper to grow spiritually, socially, and individually,” said Kim Reindl, children’s ministry director. For registration information, visit www.GrowDayCamp.org or contact Kim Reindl at kreindl@cokeschapel.org.
Cokes Chapel is at 4096 Lower Fayetteville Rd., Sharpsburg.
