All Saints Anglican Church will conduct its annual free Children’s Music Camp June 8-12.

The featured theme, “Hearing God’s Call,” will be evident in traditional hymns and praise songs, as well as scripture verses and messages.

The camp is scheduled for 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. daily and will be held at the church at 149 Ebenezer Road, Fayetteville, just east of Peachtree City.

Curriculum for the camp is a potpourri of music, singing and instruction in various instruments, composition and art.

It also features contests, games and snacks. No previous music experience is required.

The program is intended for children ages 5-11.  Last summer’s camp graduated more than 100 children, so early registration is encouraged.

Assisting All Saints’ music director Shannon Bryan as worship leader will be Jonathan Fry who is experienced in contemporary praise bands and student worship ministries.  Several other professional guest musicians, including Chelsea Buyalos and LeeLee Hunter of the Peabody Conservatory, will lead various voice and instrument labs.

New this year will be a performance by Jeanne Blood, the director of hand bells at Peachtree City United Methodist Church with her group and a performance by The Peachtree Wind Ensemble.Bryan, along with All Saints’ education director Jessica Greiner and a number of adult volunteers, will spearhead the program and provide supervision for the children.

Although the camp is free, campers are asked to bring donations for the Bethlehem Ministry. Parents and friends will be invited to the “grande finale” and graduating presentation at noon on June 12 when the children will demonstrate what they have learned.

Those interested may sign up by calling the church, 770-486-5374, or by visiting the church website, www.ptcanglican.org and clicking on the Music Camp logo.
