Russey to speak, seniors honored, roses for mom at COS this weekend

Pastor Eleanor Russey will return to Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Peachtree City May 9-10. Russey served as associate pastor there from 1989 to 1997. She then became pastor at historic Jerusalem Lutheran Church in Rincon, and is now retired. Russey will lead in worship and preach at all four weekend services, Saturday at 6 p.m., and Sunday at 8:30, 10:50, and 11 a.m. She appears as part of a year-long celebration of Christ Our Shepherd’s 40th anniversary as a congregation.

Also on May 10 at 11 a.m., graduating seniors will be honored. They will be recognized and awarded gifts, and  special music will highlight the celebration.

An anonymous donor will provide each woman in attendance a rose to mark Mother’s Day.

The church is on the corner of Ga. Highway 54 and Peachtree Parkway.
