They tore down paradise and built a parking lot. Isn’t there a song with words something like these? The situation with Peachtree City and the amusement water park that we are in danger of having forced upon us brought these words to my mind.
The city officials that courted the residents with words that spoke to and for our well-being are now acting against our well-being. They are ready to steal our lifestyle and quality of life, drive down our property values, overly burden our city resources and thwart our wishes and plans to live in a quiet and safe community.
This is the way from hometown to blighted areas. Look at the areas around us that either do not have a plan or do not stick to a plan to protect their town. I can not believe that the mayor and city council would even consider such a betrayal of trust.
Citizen newspaper, please inform us of each and every city official who votes to bring this amusement water park to town.
Citizens of Peachtree City, please write down the names of all the officials who betray us and keep the paper. In the future always vote no and warn other voters to vote no for these people any time they run for any city, county, state or national office.
