Mr. Cullen “Buddy” Miller, Jr., 88 of Jonesboro, passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at the Doctor’s Hospice in Fayetteville.
Mr. Miller was born August 31, 1926 in Woodland, Ga., to the late Mr. Cullen E. Miller, Sr., and Myrtle Rose Allen Miller. He spent two years in the Navy and was very proud that he was able to serve his country.
He was a fabricator for 15 years at Kawneer Company, after which he worked as a salesperson for Rich’s Automotive for 17 years. He had a great passion for trips to Florida, where he was a member of a local church.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Ruth (Jessup) Miller and one daughter, Myra S. Baker.
He is survived by three sons, John C. (Deborah) Miller of Jonesboro, Mark (Lisa) Miller of Peachtree City and Jack Miller of Jonesboro; one daughter, Nancy J. Chesser of Conyers; one sister, Judy Skates of Woodland; 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, April 19, at the Welcome Center Chapel at Christian City, 7345 Red Oak Road, Union City. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until service time.
