Mr. Jerry Martorell, Jr., age 65, of Tyrone passed away Thursday, February 26, 2015.
He was born in Puerto Rico, he lived in Miami, Savannah and moved to East Point as a teenager. Jerry enjoyed a 30 year career as the owner of G & H Graphics. He served in the US Navy and was stationed in San Diego, Calif. and Charleston, S.C. He was a graduate of Headland High School and attended Atlanta Area Tech University. He was a member of the Professional Association of Diving Instructors for many years. He loved watching students explore the ocean and their excitement in his passion for the underwater world. Jerry also taught rescue diving in Fayette and surrounding counties. He was a member of the Southern Street Rodders Association.
Jerry is preceded in death by his mother, Hilda Hendricks Martorell and is survived by his wife Mary Martorell of Tyrone; father, Jerry Martorell, Sr. of East Point; daughter, Beth Martorell Kane and her husband Scott of Los Angeles, Calif.; sister, Roseanne Arnold and her husband Danny of Jonesboro; brother, Glenn Martorell and his wife Gay of Bowersville; aunt, Betty Jean Pearce; grandchildren, Connor Kane and Nolan Kane; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Celebration of Jerry’s life will be held Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 4 p.m. in the Chapel of Parrott Funeral Home with Dr. Jimmy Orr officiating.
