Janet Messer, 58, died unexpectedly on February 24, 2015. Janet, a longtime resident of Peachtree City, was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald F. Messer, and her parents, Virginia Thomason Fowler and Walter Crawford.
She is survived by her three children, Justin Messer and his wife Jerilyn of Mableton, Jennifer Messer of Kennesaw, and Jeffrey Messer of Atlanta; sisters, Julie (Jeff) Christianson of Hendersonville, N.C., Ellen Moore of Valdosta, and Nancy Crawford of Janesville, Wis.; granddaughters, Eliana and Cecilia, and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Janet was currently employed at Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Newnan, Ga. as the Director of Compliance and Revenue Integrity. Janet, a registered nurse, has been employed by various health care organizations in Fulton and Fayette Counties, including Piedmont Newnan, Delta Health Services, and GB Urgent Care.
Janet was a graduate of Lakeshore High School and LaGrange College. She was united to Christ in the Sacrament of Baptism on September 23, 1956. She was joined in Holy Matrimony to her soulmate Jerry on August 21, 1982.
Janet was known for her endearing laugh and ever present smile. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She loved tailgating at Sanford Stadium, a round of golf, and was an ardent supporter of the Starr’s Mill’s Touchdown Club. She is irreplaceable and will be missed by the countless number of people that she touched during her life.
A funeral service will be held at Legacy Christian Church, Senoia on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 11 a.m. Visitors were received by the family Friday, February 27 at the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Peachtree City.

This is an organization that works hand in hand with cancer treatment centers to provide funds to families of cancer patients to help cover day to day expenses. This organization was very dear to Janetís heart.
