Ms. Philisita Bryan, 91, of Peachtree City, Ga. passed away on February 8, 2015.
Philisita (Ms. Mama) was born to the late Charles & Agatha Bryan on March 10, 1923 in Guy’s Hill, Jamaica. She attended Guy’s Hill Primary and went on to procure her skills as a creative entrepreneur. She was a member of Guy’s Hill Methodist in Jamaica. She then migrated to the US in 1981 and went on to be baptized at Calvary Temple in Peachtree City, Ga. Philisita will be remembered as a “Mama” to many and celebrated life through her love for God, family, and others.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her sons, Hugh Lynch and Barrington Lynch.
Philisita is survived by her sons, Vincent Lynch, Ashton Lynch, and Lovell Lynch all of Jamaica; daughters, Adassa Dewar (son-in-law, Matthew), and Norma Stewart of Peachtree City, Ga., Jasmine Lynch and Joycelyn Thompson of Jamaica, and Merthella Wright of Loganville, Ga.; her legacy carries on with her 50 grandchildren across Jamaica, the US, and the globe; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren around the world.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 12 p.m. in the chapel at Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home in Peachtree City with Pastor Wesley K. Bolden of Tri-Cities Church officiating.
A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, February 21, 2015 from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Interment to follow services at Westminster Memorial Gardens in Peachtree City, Ga.
