A weather siren test is scheduled for Feb. 4 and officials want to make sure residents know the sounding of the sirens that day is only a test.
The Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services will be conducting the severe weather siren test on Wednesday, Feb. 4, at 9:15 a.m.
The test is a required annual test of the sirens.
If severe weather threatens that day, the test will be rescheduled for Friday, Feb. 6.
Do not call 911 to ask questions, officials said. Only call 911 for an emergency situation.
