Clayton State homecoming fun includes tailgate, two doubleheaders

Homecoming week for Clayton State University is just around the corner.

The celebration begins Jan. 26 with a 5:30 p.m. pep rally and the annual Faculty/Staff vs. Student Basketball Scrimmage.

The first of two basketball doubleheaders scheduled for Homecoming week is set for Wednesday, Jan. 28. The Clayton State men’s and women’s teams will take on Georgia Southwestern at 5:30 p.m. (women) and 7:30 p.m. (men).

On Friday, Jan. 30, Clayton State is holding an induction ceremony for the 2015 Athletics Hall of Fame class at a 7 p.m. dinner and ceremony in room 101 of the Harry S. Downs Center. Tickets are $25.

The week of celebration continues up until the last day with a Homecoming Tailgate on Homecoming Day, Saturday, Jan. 31, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. After that, another Laker basketball doubleheader against Georgia Regents University at 1:30 p.m. (women) and 3:30 p.m. (men) will wrap up the activities.
