The College of Health and School of Nursing at Clayton State University is once again hosting colleagues and nursing students from Daejeon Health Sciences University in South Korea.

Clayton State, which also has a Fayette County campus, is hosting 16 Daejeon students and Professor of Nursing Dr. Cho Meekyung from Jan. 12 to Feb. 6.

Meekyung’s first visit included 15 South Korean students who spent four weeks in Morrow last July while learning English as a second language, English medical terminology, and experiencing health care in area hospitals and community agencies.

Clayton State President Dr. Thomas Hynes and Dean of the College of Health Dr. Lisa Eichelberger also visited Daejeon in May to finalize the details for visits to Clayton State by the South Korean students.

“We so enjoyed working and being with the South Korean faculty and students this past July, that we can’t wait to meet our new students this January,” Eichelberger said. “This visit, more of our Clayton State nursing students will be in class and will have the opportunity to interact with our South Korean students, which will make it more fun for all. We are expecting all of our students to enjoy it even more this time around.”
