Carriage Lane Presbyterian Church in Peachtree City will host “Slugs and Bugs Live” on Saturday, Jan. 17 at 5 p.m. This is a joyful, gospel-filled, life celebrating interactive musical sponsored by Kids on the Lane Mother’s Day Out Program and is for the whole family.
Randall Goodgame (former “Silly Song” writer for Veggietales) will lead the approximately 70-minute performance with live music, background musical tracks and brightly colored animated videos that extend through most of the songs.
The concert is peppered with fun, interactive moments for the whole family. Kids spin around, parents get silly on stage and sometimes there’s a parade. Goodgame says he tries to leave both kids and parents with laughter in their hearts and a deepening awareness of the presence of Jesus in their lives.
Slugs and Bugs music rollicks from bluegrass to Dixieland to folk-pop to arena rock. The show is specifically geared to kids fifth grade and younger and their parents; however, older kids will enjoy it too.
Goodgame is a critically acclaimed American singer/songwriter, and the creative force behind Slugs and Bugs. He has released six solo recordings, and has written many songs for other artists. He has written several songs for Veggietales, and he spent 4 years as the worship pastor of Midtown Fellowship in downtown Nashville.
Tickets are $5 each or $15 per family and can be purchased at the door or online for a small convenience fee at https://eventbrite.com/event/14931594802/.
