Helping out
A group of students from Central Michigan University worked at the 180-degree Farm in Sharpsburg from Dec. 15-19 on their winter break. “They helped us plant rows and mulch the greenhouse, mulch the trellises in two fields, handed out food at the hospital, helped us ready a new field for plowing, unloaded feed trucks, spread compost in the fields, built a trellis in the greenhouse, harvested and packing food for the hospital, and a ton more! They were such a blessing to us and our community this week,” said farm owners and Fayette County residents Nicole and Scott Tyson. Pictured from left are Katelyn Osterdale, Eric Ostrowski, Jamie Goering, Nolan Gray, Kimberly Pappas, Abbie Robinson, Lauren Cole, Andrea Huxtable, Sydney Shymkus and Deanna Johnson.
