Barbara Louise (Murrell) Patrie, of Fayetteville, Ga., born August 1, 1934, passed from this life on Saturday, December 6, 2014.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Eunice Lee Murrell, granddaughter, Tara L. Baker, and son, Samuel W. Patrie.

She was a member of Flat Creek Baptist Church and Augustin Clayton Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Her love of children showed in the twenty years she devoted to them in Bible school, Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, and Tamassee DAR School.

She is survived by husband of 51 years, Gerald W. Patrie; daughter Virginia P. Baker (husband Lindsay) of Lovejoy; son David R. Patrie (wife Pam) of Peachtree City, son Matthew M. Patrie of College Park, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She had numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at 3 p.m. at the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville, Ga. The family received friends prior to the service.
