The Christmas season is just around the corner and with it comes festivities on Dec. 6 in Fayetteville and Peachtree City.
Fayetteville’s 2014 Christmas Parade will be held beginning at 5 p.m. on Dec. 6 in downtown Fayetteville.
The parade will begin at the Fayette County Justice Center and move to the west onto Center Drive. The parade will make a right turn onto Lee Street and a left onto Stonewall Avenue. The parade will take a left turn one block later onto South Glynn Street, continuing south to Melear Way where it will take a left and return to the Justice Center.
Also on tap in Fayetteville on Dec. 6 will be the Christmas tree lighting downtown at dusk in the county complex and Santa carriage rides from 6-8 p.m., also at the county complex.
Peachtree City’s Hometown Holiday will also be held Dec. 6 from 5-8 p.m. at City Hall Plaza.
Santa will arrive on the plaza at 5:30 p.m. to hear children’s wish lists and the evening will conclude with the official lighting of the tree.
Activities include children’s holiday crafts, making s’mores and live performances by Huddleston Elementary School Chorus, Music Alive, The Stage Music Academy and Legacy Dance.
