Southside Theatre Guild in downtown Fairburn presents the first show of their upcoming season of quality community theatre. Neil Simon’s “Biloxi Blues” opens Oct. 30 at 8 p.m. and runs for the next three weekends. Friday – Saturday performances at 8 p.m. and Sunday performances at 2:30 p.m.

This is the second in Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Neil Simon’s trilogy that began with “Brighton Beach Memoirs” and concluded with “Broadway Bound.”

When we last met Eugene Jerome, he was coping with adolescence in 1930s Brooklyn. Here, he is a young army recruit during WW II, going through basic training and learning about Life and Love with a capital ‘L’ along with some harsher lessons, while stationed at boot camp in Biloxi, Miss. in 1943.

Tickets for Biloxi Blues can be purchased by calling the theatre box office at 770-969-0956 or by visiting stgplays.com. For adults pre-paid tickets are $16 and $18 if purchased at the door. Tickets for children 12 and under are $10.

Please note that the content and language for Biloxi Blues may not be suitable for children.
