Andrew Alvey McFarland of Peachtree City, Ga. died Saturday, October 18, 2014 at the age of 27.
Andrew, born June 21, 1987 in Memphis, Tenn., was the son of Lee and Sharon McFarland of Peachtree City, Ga. His family moved from Memphis to Peachtree City in 1993.
Andrew was a 2005 graduate of McIntosh High School. While at McIntosh, Andrew was a varsity letterman on the Chiefs baseball team. Following high school Andrew attended Valdosta State University and then moved to Athens, Ga. Many will remember Andrew for his infectious smile and his kind heart. He had an incomparable love for life and was a devoted son, brother, and friend.
Andrew is survived by his parents; two brothers, Hodson and Jackson McFarland; his grandfather, Andy McFarland; his grandmother, Mary Ann Wakefield and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandfather Raymond Edward Smith, Sr. and his grandmother Ann Hodson McFarland.
