Walter George Trancynger, 64, of Fayetteville, passed away October 9, 2014.
He was born in Yonkers, New York on August 10, 1950 of Scottish/Polish descent. He graduated from Yonkers High School on June 24, 1968. He passed away in his home under Hospice care after complications from Congestive Heart Failure. He has been a resident of Fayetteville, Georgia for 8 years upon retirement from the Yonkers Water Department. Walt has moved on to be with his Lord, Jesus Christ, in God’s kingdom, of which he spoke of passionately and often.
He is survived by his wife Vicki Cupertino-Trancynger of Fayetteville; daughter Katie Boccanelli; son Walter G. Trancynger Jr.; daughter Kim Trancynger; step-sons Mark A Baum, Eddie Sajewicz and Dr. Anthony Sajewicz; brothers David W. Trancynger and John Trancynger; and sister Donna Trancynger (Light). He and his wife have combined total of 12 grandchildren.
A memorial service was held Saturday, October 11, 2014 at 3 p.m. at Christ the King, Sharpsburg, Georgia with Reverend Father Paul Massey and Reverend Deacon Joe Liptak officiating.
