Joseph F. Langdon, 77, of Peachtree City, passed away September 26, 2014.
He was a 1955 graduate from Hamilton (Ohio) High School and later graduated from the University of Cincinnati. In July 1958 he married Dawana Bruck. He was a long-time employee of Dollar Federal Savings and Loan. During that time he also served as the president and treasurer of Fairfield City Council. He was also president of Lindenwald Kiwanis Club. In 1994 he moved to Peachtree City where he enjoyed working as a security guard for NCR. His love for sports included the Cincinnati Bearcats, Cincinnati Reds and his hometown Ohio State Buckeyes.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years Dawana Langdon; daughter Kari Lomme and her husband Jason of Newnan; son Jeff Langdon and his wife Kelly of Nashville, Tenn.; grandchildren Josh Lomme and wife Kate, Erin Chapman and husband Nathan, Hannah Lomme and Jenna Langdon; great-grandchildren Eli and Kiley Chapman and brother and sister-in-law Andy and Helen Bruck of Lebanon, Va.
A memorial service was held Monday, September 29, 2014 at 12 noon at the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Peachtree City. Pastor Robert Veley officiated. The family received friends prior to the service.
