Margaret K. Tarpley, 96, of Jonesboro, passed away Friday, August 15, 2014.

Mrs. Tarpley was a porcelain artist, an avid gardener, and an expert quilter. She retired from National Bank of Georgia.

She was preceded in death by her husband Milton Tarpley Sr. and grandson Brian Whitlock. She is survived by her son Milton & Denise Tarpley of Port St. Joe, Fla.; daughter Charlotte Whitlock of Fayetteville; grandchildren Jessica Tarpley, Hal Tarpley, Brett Tarpley, Jeff & Lisa Whitlock, and Tracee Whitlock; granddaughter-in-law Christina Whitlock; and great grandchildren Aaron & Brian Whitlock.

A funeral service was held Sunday, August 17, 2014 at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville. Dr. Randy Wood and Rev. Glenn Stringham officiated. The burial followed at Mann Cemetery, Jonesboro.
