Mrs. Martha Dumas Abel of Fayetteville passed away on July 25, 2014.
 
Mrs. Abel was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Abel.
 
Survivors include her brother, Hal S. Dumas of Manchester, Ga.; children, Joanne Abel and Rama Mills of Durham, N.C., Gladwyne and Richard Weisser of Sharpsburg, Ga., Lee Abel and Eleanor Kennedy of Little Rock, Ark.; grandchildren, Valerie Weisser and Bryan Kocher of Stratford, Conn., Corinne and Mike Sappington of Little Rock, Ark., and Warren Abel of Atlanta, Ga.
 
Burial was in Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell, Ala. with a memorial service to be announced at a later date.
 
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Georgia Baptist Children’s Home or a charity of your choice.
