FAYETTE COUNTY

SOCCER: Defeated Whitewater (boys) 6-0 behind two goals by Diego Milesi as well as two goals and assist by Ryan Grbac. Matthew Sherry had several impressive saves. The girls lost to Whitewater 8-0.

McINTOSH

BASEBALL: Topped Mundy’s Mill 10-6 by making the most of their seven hits.

SOCCER: Crushed Union Grove (boys) 10-0, allowing their opponent only one shot on goal the entire game. Didrik Cooper-Seip scored three goals, with two apiece from Adam Sheikali, Carson Brooks and Nick Alvey. Conner Halmi also scored a goal. Ian Berryman had four assists. Chris Dognazzi scored three goals in a 6-0 win over Tucker, with the other scores coming from Brooks, Halmi and Sheikali.

TRACK: Competed in the Nike Panther Relays and took first place in the girls’ 4×800 meters (10:00.42) along with outstanding performances by the boys in the 4×800 meters and the sprint medley relay. Alyssa LeClaire placed second in the 1600m finals (5:25.22) and Michael Daprano took third in the 300H final (41.44). Sebastian James placed third in the boys 100 m final (11.00).

SANDY CREEK

SOCCER: Shut out Troup 4-0 as Sophia Bonser scored all four goals with assists from Amara Owoh, Alexa Yanar, Lauren Apo and Emma Presberg.

STARR’S MILL

GOLF: Beat McIntosh 157-168, as Parker Langham led the boys with a 35 and Andrew Crockett shot a 37. The girls tied at 141, led by Morgan Kory’s 41 and Jocelyn Gao’s 48. In the Panthers’ win over Whitewater (164-175), the boys’ leaders were Andrew Bourg (37), Will Tiller (42) and Aubrey Holloway (42). Kory led the girls with a 43.

LACROSSE: Defeated Woodward (girls) 15-10 as Madeline Scheinost led the team with solid goal tending while Alyssa Sack and Meghan Mills led in scoring. Katie Wilson, Grace Beardsley and Megan Binkley were cited for their defensive work.

TRACK: Hosted the Nike Panther Relays featuring more than 30 schools. The Lady Panthers placed first overall, as Alexis Farley won the triple jump (38-1) and placed second in the long jump (17-10.75). The boys placed seventh overall. The girls also came in first one week earlier at the Fayette County Championships.

WHITEWATER

GOLF: Lost 168-172 to Northgate. The Wildcats were led by Spencer Taylor’s 39. In their 165-181 win over East Coweta the best scores were posted by Matt Giese (39) and Andrew Bankston (42).

SOCCER: Beat Ola (girls) 2-1 with goals by Emily Peterson and Bella Millians as well as an assist from Aubrey Heard. Peterson scored four goals in an 8-0 win over Fayette County, while Millians scored twice with one goal each from Carson Lamberth and Abby Smithwick.
