Three Fayette County teenagers are facing armed robbery charges stemming from a supposed CraigsList purchase.

Sheriff Barry Babb said Malik Miles, of Pineview Terrace, was charged with two counts of armed robbery and Joshua Wright, of Stanley Oaks Place, was charged with two counts of armed robbery-party to a crime.

A 16-year-old juvenile, of Fayetteville, was also charged with two counts of armed robbery, Babb said.

Babb said deputies on March 19 responded to a robbery call in the area of Brandon Mill Circle and New Hope Road. Upon arrival, deputies learned that the victims had been robbed after answering a Craigslist ad selling an iPhone.

“When the victims arrived at the arranged meeting spot, they were met by two black males who demanded seeing the money. Once the victim displayed the cash, both of the perpetrators produced black handguns,” Babb said. “After the money was stolen, they took the second victim’s wallet and calmly walked away.”

Babb said deputies and detectives canvassed the area leading to the identification of a 16-year-old juvenile involved in the incident.
