BASEBALL

SANDY CREEK beat Tri-Cities 10-0 Monday. Collin Pike pitched 5 scoreless innings. Jared Jackson was 2-3 with a home run. Ben Weinhardt and Anthony Dodd were also 2-3.

LANDMARK fell 13-5 to ELCA Tuesday. The War Eagles tied the game at 5 in the bottom of the fifth and it stayed that way until ELCA broke it open in the seventh.

LACROSSE

STARR’S MILL topped South Forsyth 14-11 Tuesday. Both goalies, Allie Merritt and Madeline Scheinist, had strong games. The varsity was led by captains Katie Buck, Grace Beardsley, Meghan Mills, and Jess Ward.

McINTOSH picked up its 100th win as a program, 15-2 over Northgate Tuesday. The Chiefs were led offensively by Craig Ward with 5 goals, Same Herman with 3 goals and 2 assists, and one goal each from Barrett Bornhofen, Graham Davis, Dawson Riesselman, Caleb Sellars, Joey Buehler, Hank Morgan and Jagger Barnes. The defense was led by Hank Morgan, Jim O’Neil and the goalies Cameron Scott and Tommy O’Brien.

SOCCER

FAYETTE COUNTY defeated Alexander 5-2. Sophomore Diego Milessi had 2 goals and 2 assists. He was also fouled in the box, allowing another goal to be scored via PK.

STARR’S MILL picked up a 2-1 win over Westminster in Atlanta Tuesday. The game was scoreless for the first 30 minutes until Jenna Currin worked the ball to Riley Clark for the first goal of the game. Westminster tied it up just after halftime, then Lauren Yoss and Molly Moroney combined for the game-winner with 25 left to play. It was the Lady Panthers’ fifth straight win.

OUR LADY OF MERCY defeated SANDY CREEK 4-0 Tuesday in girls’ action. OLM scored all of its goals in the first 20 minutes.

LANDMARK fell 7-2 to Douglas County Tuesday. Allison Nigh and Rebekah Gravitt scored goals for the Lady War Eagles.

TENNIS

LANDMARK won 3-2 over Strong Rock Tuesday to remain undefeated in subregion play. Skylar Mortensen, Olivia Allensworth, and the doubles team of Caroline Windham and Hays Lollis won for the Lady War Eagles.
