Sage group plans trip to Legacy Theater for Carter family saga

The “Sage” group (Senior Adults Going Everywhere) at Fayetteville First United Methodist Church has another outing planned for Friday, Feb. 7. The group will have supper at the Downtown Gr ill in Tyrone (pay your own tab), then view “Keep on the Sunny Side,” a show at the Legacy theater about the Carter family whose love story made country music famous.

A.P., Maybelle, and Sara Carter are brought to life in this telling look at the lives and music of the Carter Family. Songs include “Will the Circle be Unbroken,” “Wildwood Flower,” and the perennial favorite, “Keep on the Sunny Side.”

The cost is $15 for tickets and transportation plus dinner. The group will depart the church at 5 p.m. and return by 11 p.m. Register and pay in the church office by Wednesday, Jan. 22.
