William “Bill” Henry Lasiter, age 90, of Peachtree City, Ga. passed away on January 9, 2014.
Bill was born in Gibson, Tenn. to Nelle Casey Lasiter & Tee Lasiter. He married his high school sweetheart, Mildred Osborne. They were married, for almost 70 years, until her death in 2010. He served in the US Navy and was a WWII Veteran, Sunday school teacher, deacon of the church, a business owner, and VFW member. He was a dedicated Christian and a member of Peachtree City First Baptist Church right up until his passing.
He is survived by his son, Billy M. Lasiter and daughter-in-law, Gail Lasiter; daughter, Dianne Lasiter Kalvelage; daughter-in-law, Jonica S. Lasiter; grandchildren, Tim Lasiter, Mark Lasiter, Chris Lasiter, Anthony Kalvelage, Leigh Kalvelage, and Christine Smith; 8 great-grandchildren; and his brother, David M. Lasiter.
Funeral services will be held in the chapel at Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home in Peachtree City on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at 11 a.m. with Steve Bingham officiating. The visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Tucker, Ga. at 2:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to Southwest Christian Care Hospice in Union City, Ga.
