0Catherine E. Gertrude Hardwick, 88, of Fayetteville, passed away December 31, 2013.
She was preceded in death by her husband William “Bill” L. Hardwick, Sr.; parents William & Cleo Edmondson; grandchild Greg Parks; sisters Julia Burch, Mattie Jeff Robertson, Lucy Owen, Charlotte Griggs; and brother William “Billy” Edmondson.
She is survived by daughter Ava (Wes) Harris of Fayetteville; son Lloyd (Sherry) Hardwick of Fayetteville; daughter Jo (Dana) Hardwick of Decatur; grandchildren David (Beth) Parks of Lexington, Ky., Jason (Ashley) Hardwick of Pensacola, Fla., Tony Harris of Fayetteville, Mike (Mandy) Harris of Powder Springs; 6 great-grandchildren; brother Russell (Bernice) Edmondson of Fayetteville; sister Betty E. Bowen of Fayetteville; sister-in-law Gloria Aiken of Conyers; and many nieces & nephews.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 1 p.m. at the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville. Rev. Carolyn Clifton will officiate. A burial will follow at College Park Cemetery, College Park. The family will receive friends Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
