Mrs. Carol Clark of Peachtree City passed away on December 12, 2013 after a lengthy battle with lung cancer. Her life motto was “attitude is everything” and she was always positive as she fought the fight right up to the end. She was one tough lady.
Carol was born in Ft. Worth, Texas on September 17, 1942 and resided in the area until she married her husband, Larry, and became a partner in his Air Force career spanning 24 years. They have lived in Peachtree City since 2003. Carol was a very family oriented person. She and Larry both came from large families and she was a loving and active part of both families. She had a sharp wit and made any gathering into a party to remember.
Most people will remember her for her intense love for the game of Bridge. She worked hard at learning the intricacies of the game and was just shy of earning her Life Masters. While she was competitive, she managed to make the game fun for partners and opponents alike.
She was preceded in death by her loving mother, Ann Brannan; her father, John Clement, her sister, Jo Ann Jones; and her brothers, Michael Rivers; Kenneth Brannan.
She is survived by her husband to whom she was married 47 years on November 26, Larry Clark; her daughter Leslie Clark; her grandson, Christopher Cudd; her step father, Curtis Brannan; her sisters, Sue Witt, Sandy Clement, Jean Denson, Carol Sue Moore, Cathy Smith; brothers, Steve Rivers, Curtis Don Brannan, John Clement, Jr., Greg Clement; many nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be held Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Saint Matthew Catholic Church. Rev. Kevin Hargaden, Principal celebrant.
