Mr. Alexander Bitker, 88, of Peachtree City, passed away June 20, 2013.

He was born in Kobe, Japan and also resided in Shanghai and Yokohama, Japan. After WW II he attended Duke University and received a B.A. and also was the Captain of the Duke University Soccer Team. Mr. Bitker was a retired Financial Executive, CPA, a member of Peachtree City United Methodist Church and was an avid golfer and was a member of Braelinn Golf Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Alexandra Bitker and sister, Lucy Robertson.

He is survived by his wife, Ouida Bitker of Peachtree City; children, Alan Bitker and his wife, Barbara Cox of new Haven, Conn., Steven Bitker and his wife, Alice Lai-Bitker of Alameda, Calif. and Laura Kolenberg and husband Michael of Stamford, Conn.; grandchildren, Adam and Alexandra Bitker of New Haven, Conn., Mei-Ling and Janelle Bitker of Alameda, Calif. and Nicole Kolenberg of Stamford, Conn.

A special thank you to the staff at Southland Nursing Home for their assistance and care.

A memorial service was held Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at 2:30 p.m. at Peachtree City United Methodist Church. Pastor Sean Robertson officiated. The family received friends after the service at the church.
