The owner of Phoenix Amusements for 54 years, Mr. Donald Dean Hankinson, 76, of Fayetteville passed away June 14, 2013.
Mr. Hankinson was a founding member and served as president of Georgia Amusement and Music Operators (GAMOA), he served on the board of directors for Amusement Operators of America (AMOA), and served as president of Atlanta Lawn Tennis Association.
Survivors include his wife Harriette Foster Hankinson of Fayetteville; sons Don Hankinson Jr. and his wife Stacy of Sharpsburg and Scott Hankinson of McDonough; daughter Andrea Hankinson of Fayetteville; grandsons Gabriel and Mathew Hankinson of Sharpsburg; brother Robert Wayne Hankinson and his wife Jackie of Wichita Falls, Texas; sister Jean Zuniga of Lake City; brother in law Price Foster and his wife Jane of Fayetteville; aunt Ruth Allen of Frost Proof, Fla.; 4 nieces and 7 nephews.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at Carl J. Mowell & Son Fayetteville Chapel with Father Dan Hale officiating.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 25, 2013, 12 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
The interment of the urn will be at a later date at Westview Cemetery.
