Mr. Robert E. Lee Gray, of Fayetteville, passed away May 25, 2013.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 45 years Barbara; sons Mick & Gail and Tom & Patty; grandchildren Adam, Brian, Megan, Allison, Caroline and Christopher; half-brother Gary & Janet Gray as well as several nieces and nephews.

Robert was born July 15, 1926 and was a graduate of Fulton High School. He retired from the Fulton County Tag Office after 35 plus years. Mr. Gray served in the 8th Army during World War II, and he was a member of the 41st re-enactment group and the Lewis D Armistead SCV Camp of Luthersville, Ga. Robert participated in re-enactments from 1961 through 1995. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge in Rico, Ga.

He will be remembered internationally for his love of traveling and cruising throughout the world and also known around the Fayetteville area for his Red Truck, Santa on the Porch, and his love of all children, family and friends. Robert also enjoyed volunteering at the Fox Theatre, Spivey Hall, and Zoo Atlanta.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer (731 Peachtree Street NE, Atlanta, Ga. 30308). Mr. Gray will lie in state from 10 to 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. The family received friends Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made the Choir Fund at the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer.
