Georgia Singers will perform at PTC Presbyterian Church May 19

Georgia Singers, a Peachtree City based community choir for young women, will perform at the First Presbyterian Church of Peachtree City on Sunday evening, May 19, at 6 p.m. Ages of the two choirs of girls begin in grade seven and go through young adult. They are under the direction of Dr. Franklin Green with accompanist Rick Massengale.

The performance includes sacred numbers — This Little Light of Mine, Be Thou My Vision, Ave Maria, and Ubi caritas, well known classical pieces — Schumann’s Widmung, Bach’s Den Tod, and Rachmaninoff’s Vocalise, and opera choruses from Verdi and Leoncavallo, as well as folk songs from America, Russia, and the Czech Republic.
