David Neil Saylor, 36, of Peachtree City, lost his battle with cancer on April 16, 2013.
He graduated from McIntosh High School in 1994. He attended Wingate University, where he played on the men’s varsity soccer team and was a member of the Kappa Alpha Fraternity, graduating in 1999. He worked as a crisis counselor in the residential behavioral health program at KidsPeace. He was also a valued player on the Majestic Soccer Team in Atlanta.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Marion and Iretus Melton; paternal grandmother, Elizabeth Saylor, and aunt Candee Saylor. He is survived by his parents, Dennis and Robin Saylor of Peachtree City; sister Jennifer Saylor of Douglasville; paternal grandfather, Donald and wife Debbie Saylor of Greeneville, Tenn.; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Peachtree City. Reverend Sean Robinson from David’s church, Peachtree City United Methodist Church, will officiate. The burial will follow at Westminster Memorial Gardens, Peachtree City.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
