Valerie Townsend Beaty, 69, of Peachtree City, began her eternal life with her Heavenly Father on March 8, 2013.
She is survived by her loving family which includes her husband of 52 years, Bob; daughters Sherri (Gregg) Harris of Fayetteville; Martha Ann (Randy) Woodhead of Fayetteville; Paige Beaty of Peachtree City; son Matthew (Amy) Beaty of Yass, Australia; grandchildren, Josh, Mark and Rebecca Harris of Fayetteville; Caroline and Daniel Woodhead of Fayetteville; sisters Judi Townsend and Sherry (David) Tidwell of South Carolina.
Valerie was a stay at home wife and mother until her children were in school. She worked several years as a church secretary at Headland Heights UMC and Bethany UMC. Valerie enjoyed painting, quilting and any crafts working with her hands. She also looked forward to her monthly Girls Night Out group dinners with special friends. Most of all, Valerie enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her five beloved grandchildren.
The family received friends on Sunday, March 10, 2013 at Carl J. Mowell & Son, Peachtree City.
A Celebration of Life was held on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at 4 p.m. at Carl J. Mowell & Son, Peachtree City. Valerie’s ashes will be scattered this summer at St. George Island, Fla., her family’s traditional vacation destination. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Fayette Samaritans or your favorite charity.
