Get fit and stay healthy at Fayetteville First United Methodist Church with PiYo, Zumba and Body Recall.

“We offer classes for all fitness levels in the mornings, afternoons and evenings. You can work on flexibility and balance or get your heart really pumping. It’s up to you,” says associate pastor and instructor Kristin Heiden.

PiYo, a combination of pilates and yoga, is a class for balance, flexibility and strength. The hour-long class is offered Mondays at 9 a.m. and again at 7 p.m.

Dance it out at Zumba on Tuesday evenings from 6 to 7 p.m. The mix of exercise with Latin dance steps keeps this aerobic workout fun and exciting.

The cost is $2 per class through purchase of a $20 punch card.

Body Recall offers an option as a combination exercise and wellness class for those wanting to function at their optimum. Stressing strength, flexibility and balance, this program is for all ages and physical abilities. Movements are specifically designed to minimize risk, discomfort and injury and are adaptable for participants with limited strength or mobility.

Classes meet Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 10:30 a.m. or Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays at 4 p.m. and are taught by certified instructors. Cost is $50 for 30 classes each session or $2 per class. A new session begins April 1.

Everyone in the community is invited to participate. Visit online at fayettevillefirst.com or call 770-461-4313 for more information.

Classes are held at Fayetteville First United Methodist Church, 175 East Lanier Ave., across the street from the historic courthouse in downtown Fayetteville.
