James “Jimmy” Marquez died peacefully in his Peachtree City, Ga. home on Feb. 15, 2013 after a long illness.

He was a Veteran of the Korean War.

He was born in New York, N.Y. on April 19, 1932 to Jaime and Carmen Marquez. Jimmy was an avid golfer, dancer and skilled player of the maracas. While living in Puerto Rico, he was a member of the National Golf Team competing in the Hoerman Cup and Simon Bolivar Caribbean tournaments. He owned Action Appliance Service until he retired.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Olivia Wells Marquez; 5 children; 9 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild & 7 siblings.

His generous spirit and bright smile will be missed by those who knew & loved him.

A private Celebration of Life will be held at his home. Donations may be made in his honor to the Alzheimer’s Association- www.alz.org.
