0Mr. Robert Lester Granger of Fayetteville, Ga. passed away Feb. 16, 2013 at the age of 95.
Mr. Granger was born in Smithfield, Pa. to Ernest Granger & Nellie Britt Granger. He served in the U.S. Navy. He then became a Delta Air Lines pilot & retired after 37 years of service. Mr. Granger was a member of Fayette Presbyterian Church in Fayetteville, Ga. He was a loving & loyal husband, father, step-grandfather, brother, uncle & friend.
He was preceded in death by his parents & three sisters.
Survivors include his wife Lois G. Granger of Fayetteville; daughter Marian Speight (Amos) of Fayetteville; four step-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; two step-great-great grandchildren; brother Retired Brigadier General James I. Granger (Carolyn) of Alexandria, Va. along with numerous nieces & nephews.
A funeral service was held Feb. 18, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Carl J. Mowell & Son, Fayetteville with Rev. Dr. Alex Moses officiating. Burial followed at Westminster Memorial Gardens, Peachtree City, Ga.
The family greeted friends prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to Fayette Presbyterian Church.
